Dear Friends and Customers,

We are very pleased to announce that Newbery Award-winning author SUSAN COOPER will be making a return appearance at our store on the 19th of April! Mrs. Cooper is the acclaimed author of the now-classic Dark is Rising Sequence which has just been released in a new set of matching hardcover editions with cover art by Caldecott Medalist David Wiesner! [YAY! Now I can get a matching set for my nephews!] Mrs. Cooper will do a reading at Noon and then answers questions, greet fans and sign copies of all of her wonderful books.

We are very excited to announce that at the end of this month we will be hosting our annual Newbery and Caldecott Celebration! Appearing on April 26th we'll welcome both of this years medal winners: AVI, who won the Newbery Medal for Crispin: The Cross of Lead and ERIC ROHMAN who won the Caldecott Medal for My Friend Rabbit. In addition, three of this year's honor winners will be on hand. Jerry Pinkney (winner of a Caldecott Honor for Noah's Ark), Peter McCarty (winner of a Caldecott Honor for Hondo and Fabian), and Patricia Reilly Giff (winner of a Newbery Honor for Pictures of Hollis Wood). The event will go from Noon to 2pm with each artist greeting fans, answering questions and signing copies of all of their wonderful books. Please join us for this rare opportunity to meet five outstanding, award winning authors and artists!

Finally, we will be attending the New York Antiquarian Bookfair this week! The fair runs from Thursday night to Sunday at the Park Avenue Armory at Park Avenue and 67th Street. We will have a booth overflowing with a substantial offering of books and artwork for sale! Stop by and visit us at booth #D29. We'd love to see you!
